‘Cloud Conjurors’

From the summit of Hecla

When Christine Smith was writing the Country Diary in The Guardian in February 2012, she referred to Hecla, Corrodale and Mhor as being mountains that are ‘cloud conjurors’. Their range is across the main road from the Howmore hostel, taking time to reach and longer to climb. Accommodation in that area is limited so a full day is needed. Were you to want to overnight, then the MBA bothy at Ushinish is the only shelter on The Minch.
